Treetops trading is the export arm of Mohamed El Beltagy’s Farms.

The company’s main specialization is growing and exporting table grapes, with several table grapes varieties planted and more in the pipeline, utilizing Egypt’s comparative advantage in table grapes cultivation.

However other crops like Strawberries, Snow peas, Green beans, Iceberg lettuce, and Chinese cabbage are also grown but according only to customer programs agreed prior to planting season.
With huge experience in growing and handling of fresh produce for export, the farms’ products are exported to several countries in Europe, Asia, Arab countries and Africa.

HISTORY

Mohamed El Beltagy spent his life in studying and researching in horticulture science not just to benefit his family business but for the benefit of all Egypt’s horticulture sector, he played a major role in transfer of horticulture technology, establishment of non profit associations to support growers, bringing foreign experts through ministry of agriculture, and cooperation with international agriculture universities to bring into Egypt the latest know how during the 1990’s, which had a direct impact on Egypt’s position today as an important international supplier of high quality fresh produce.

1960

El Beltagy Family has a long history in the agriculture business, which started in 1960 when Sayed El Beltagy bought his first piece of land in the Nile Delta region.
Together with his sons whom he handed the executive management of the farms, they kept on developing the business and established an excellent reputation for growing high quality table grapes for the local market.

1999

In 1999, his elder son Mohamed El Beltagy together with his brothers bought their first piece of land in the desert area, with a vision that the desert area has favorable weather conditions, virgin land and fresh clean water from deep wells that would give birth to high quality crops suitable to enter the export market and compete internationally, and so it happened, El Beltagy family were one of the earliest growers to cultivate in the desert area and produce high quality crops for export.

2002

Today, his vision is extended through his sons who took over the management of the farms since 2002 after he passed away, and since then the farms has been in continuous development while maintaining excellent reputation specifically as one of the best growers of table grapes for export in Egypt.
